Shelley Madsen is a registered and licensed dietitian as well as a certified diabetes educator. She attended University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed the Coordinated Program of Dietetics. Shelley has practiced in the field of nutrition education for 19 years, specializing in assisting people with diabetes, eating disorders and many other nutritional challenges to advance their goals for optimal health. When not working, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and participating in physical activity such as walking her dogs around Lady Bird Lake and working out.
Sandi Spicer Moore
Sandi Spicer Moore is a registered and licensed dietitian, a certified diabetes educator, a certified insulin pump trainer and is board certified in advanced diabetes management. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a MA in Nutritional Sciences. Over the past 15 years Sandi has provided nutritional counseling for adults and children in a variety of settings. In addition to diabetes, she has special interest in sport nutrition, sustainable food systems and health related technology. Sandi enjoys outdoor activities, including gardening, cycling and participating in triathlons.
Nicole Brent is a registered and licensed dietitian and a certified diabetes educator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. Nicole has provided nutritional counseling for over 10 years at settings such as Texas Medical Center and University of Texas Pediatric Clinics. Her specialties include pediatrics, nutrition support, weight management, diabetes and heart healthy meal planning. In her spare time, Nicole chases after her two small children, enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her family.
Cassie Fillman is a registered and licensed dietitian as well as a certified diabetes educator. She received her MS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and her BS in Family and Consumer Sciences from Baylor University. Cassie has been practicing as a registered dietitian for over 6 years and has been specializing in diabetes for over 3 years. She also has experience working with heart disease, weight control, and other nutrition issues. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys doing yoga, running, traveling and spending time with her family, friends and dog.
Elizabeth Hanawalt is a registered and licensed dietitian, as well as a certified diabetes educator. She attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she received a BS in Clinical Dietetics. She received her MS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She has had Type 1 diabetes all her life and has worked with individuals with diabetes for over 15 years. She has been a pump wearer for 19 years. Her specialties include kidney/pancreas transplant and long term ventilator patients. She has experience working one on one with patients as well as teaching classes. Elizabeth enjoys traveling, photography, gardening and stitchery.
Jorie Stuckwisch is a registered and licensed dietitian, and a certified diabetes educator. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northern Illinois University. Over the past five years, Jorie has provided medical nutrition therapy for adults and children for many conditions, including her specialties diabetes and weight management. Her professional interests include developing nutritional education programs within communities and utilizing the media to promote public health. In her spare time, Jorie enjoys jogging, writing, piano playing and spending time with her family and pets.
Kati Coble is a registered and licensed dietitian working on obtaining her certificate as a diabetes educator. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Texas Tech University. Kati has worked in private practice settings specializing in bariatric surgery, weight-loss management, food allergies, and heart disease. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, and traveling with friends and family.
